We’re thrilled to introduce the outstanding educators who have joined our team, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to enrich our students’ lives.
Laurence Baxter – Vice Principal (Pastoral): Laurence brings expertise in pastoral leadership, with a strong background in History and International Politics, and an MA in Educational Leadership. He has held key roles in the UK and most recently served as Deputy Head (Pastoral) at the English College in Prague.
Sophie Davies – Vice Principal (Safeguarding & Inclusion): Sophie joins us with extensive experience in safeguarding and inclusion. A seasoned Headteacher and safeguarding expert, she is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment for all our students.
Martin Kindness – Head of EAL: Martin is a seasoned EAL specialist with experience in leading EAL departments across British schools in Southeast Asia. He previously served as Head of EAL at NLCS Jeju and is excited to contribute to our school’s mission.
Louise Miller – Head of French: With nearly 30 years of experience in teaching and leadership roles across the UK, Southeast Asia, and the USA, Louise is passionate about languages and is eager to inspire our students with her love for French.
Mireia Bickley – Head of Chemistry: We are delighted to welcome Mireia back to NLCS (Singapore)! With a strong background in Biochemistry and leadership experience in Tokyo and the UK, she is excited to rejoin our Science Department.
Kate Hall – Head of PSE: Kate brings her expertise in health education from the UK and is excited to lead Personal and Social Education at NLCS. Passionate about student wellbeing and an avid sports enthusiast, she looks forward to engaging with our community.
Danielle Berthoud – Head of Biology: With over 15 years of experience in international education, Danielle is committed to supporting each learner. She is excited to bring her passion for Biology and high expectations for all students to NLCS.
Bing Xia – Head of Junior School Mandarin: Bing brings extensive leadership experience from Shanghai and is currently completing her Masters in Educational Management here in Singapore. She’s eager to foster a love for Mandarin in our Junior School.
Matthew Burdett – Assistant Principal (Curriculum): Matthew joins us with a rich background in international education. He believes in lifelong learning and looks forward to enhancing our curriculum with his global experience.
Preeti Bhati – Head of Individual Needs: Preeti brings a wealth of experience in special education and counseling from across Asia. She is passionate about supporting individual learners and looks forward to making a positive impact at NLCS.
