The Anxious Dragon took to the stage in a captivating performance that brought together the power of live orchestral music and the creativity of student-led animation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commissioned especially for NLCS (Singapore), the piece was composed by Thomas Gregory and performed by our Festival Orchestra following an intensive workshop series with the composer. The result was a performance that showcased both technical precision and emotional depth\u2014from delicate string passages to bold, expressive brass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What made this piece truly unique was the visual storytelling: original student animation created in collaboration with LaSalle. Using Adobe Photoshop, students designed and animated a vivid sequence of Chinese zodiac animals, each frame brought to life with colour, motion, and imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a powerful celebration of artistic collaboration, creativity, and the kind of bold, interdisciplinary learning we value deeply at NLCS (Singapore).<\/p>\n\n\n
