As part of the Book Week House Competition, poets took to the stage with original spoken word pieces\u2014coached and mentored by the English Department. Their performances left a strong impression on the judges, who had the tough task of choosing a winner from such passionate and polished entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The evening also featured a wide range of musical performances, from solos and ensembles to the full symphony orchestra. Tackling a demanding programme spanning Baroque to Contemporary, the orchestra\u2019s finale\u2014Danse Infernale<\/em> by Stravinsky\u2014was a true showcase of talent, dedication, and the expert guidance of our music staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At NLCS (Singapore), the arts are a vital part of the curriculum\u2014giving students space to explore, perform, and express.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
