As a priority, please complete all tasks on the 'Starting School Checklist' below as soon as you receive access to the Parent Portal and submit any outstanding documentation to us as soon as possible.

Some documents including the medical form, immunisation records, and copies of valid residency passes are mandatory and must be submitted before your child can start school.

Please ensure that our Admissions Team are in receipt of a copy of the In-Principle Approval (IPA) letters for Dependent Passes and once available a copy of the cards themselves (front & back) including expiry date. For Student Passes, a copy of the pass (front & back) or a digital pass needs to be submitted prior to the start of school.

Your child will not be permitted to start if this information has not been provided.

Please note that enrollment at NLCS (Singapore) is conditional upon the Student Contract being signed and the student holding a valid Dependent Pass, Student Pass, IEO (Immigration Exemption Order) or being a Singapore Permanent Resident. Singapore Citizens (for Grade 1 and above) must have a valid, approved MOE waiver in place to attend NLCS (Singapore).

As a new family, you will be sent login details and granted access to our parent portal on the first day of school. The parent portal will be your daily connection to school and includes a wealth of academic resources to support your child's learning along with class blogs, school contacts, CCA and enrichment activities, handbooks, newsletters and announcements.

Tong Tar Parent App

To enhance convenience and peace of mind for families, Tong Tar provides a dedicated Parent App, featuring a one-stop communication channel for all transport matters.

Operations and Routes

Tong Tar operates routes that span the majority of Singapore. While pick-up and drop-off points are subject to variation based on demand, we aim to provide a service that is as close to a “door-to-door” arrangement as is practically possible, in a shared environment.

• Morning Pick-Up: As close to students' homes as feasible
• Afternoon Departures:
  • 15:15 for Junior School students
  • 15:45 for Senior School students

Junior School students requiring the 15:45 service (e.g., due to Co-Curricular Activities or other engagements) may do so upon arrangement with Tong Tar. Please note that additional charges apply, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 16:55 CCA Service, designated for Senior School students, operates with fixed drop-off points and is available free of charge to students already enrolled in the 15:45 regular door-to-door service. This point-to-point service requires advanced booking and operates only during CCA trial periods and seasons. Drop-off points are determined in advance based on the drop-off addresses of registered students.

Shuttle Bus Service (Senior School Only)

A complimentary shuttle bus service is available exclusively to Senior School students, departing from the school at 15:45 and 16:55 daily. Please note that this service is not supervised by school staff. Drop-off locations for each route are as follows:

Return Trip Allocation

Students enrolled in return bus services will be assigned to the following departure times:

• Grades up to 5: 15:15 departure
• Grade 6 and above: 15:45 departure

Bus Conduct and Expectations

All school buses are staffed by both a Bus Driver and a Bus Attendant. We kindly request that parents assist in reinforcing the following expectations with their children:

• Students must follow all instructions issued by the Bus Attendant, who is responsible for ensuring safety and order during the journey.
• Seat belts must be worn at all times while on board.
• Appropriate behaviour, including respectful conduct towards peers and adults, is expected at all times.
• Students should arrive at the pick-up point at least 5 minutes early.
• Buses will wait a maximum of 1 minute per stop before proceeding.
• For insurance reasons, parents and caregivers are not permitted to travel with students.

Bus Fees and Charges

• All stated fees exclude prevailing Goods and Services Tax (GST).
• A fuel surcharge of S$75 per term applies. An annual technology fee of S$25 is applied to all student riders. These fees are non-refundable.
• Bus fares are billed per academic term, and NLCS operates on a three-term academic calendar.
• For journeys exceeding 16 km, service will be provided subject to availability, and arrangements must be confirmed directly with Tong Tar.

Our food service provider is Victus Catering who provide school meals from our canteen. Menu, Ordering, Registration and Payment Information

주니어 스쿨:

• Students will only receive school meals by registering with Victus and pre-ordering meals

시니어 학교:

• Students can visit the canteen and pay using an EZ-Link card registered to the payment system

Break-time Snacks:

• • First School: Free snacks provided at playtime
  • Lower School: Pre-order through Victus

• Senior School: Purchase from caterers or bring appropriate snacks from home

Nut-Free School:

• NLCS (Singapore) aims to be a nut-free school. Please do not bring nuts or products containing nuts.

Budge Square Coffee Shop:

• Coffee shop serving snacks and drinks to staff, parents, Sixth Form students and visitors.

Water:

• Students are required to bring a clearly labelled water bottle to school each day.
