One of our founding families, Mr and Mrs Darmono, recently shared their reflections on raising three children at NLCS (Singapore) since the school’s earliest days. Their children Lana, Neal and Elena joined during a formative period for the school, and the family has witnessed their growth across every dimension of school life.
The Darmonos highlight the strength of the academic foundation, particularly in Mathematics, Music and Languages, alongside the meaningful experiences that performing arts and student leadership have offered their children. Music, in particular, has become a genuine passion, with performances at venues such as the Esplanade providing a strong sense of accomplishment and community. We are incredibly proud that families who joined us from the beginning continue to find the school ambitious, principled and truly transformative.
