Matt is an experienced leader in international education having taught in the UK, Italy, Hong Kong and El Salvador. In his most recent role he has been Head of Secondary in El Salvador and he has a history of success in a wide range of middle and senior leadership roles. He has a BA in Geography from the University of Manchester, an MA in International Education, and recently completed the UK’s NPQH qualification for senior leadership.
Founding Principal, Paul Friend will lead an exceptional team of educators at NLCS (Singapore). Paul moved to Singapore in August 2019 following five years as Principal at NLCS Jeju. Under his leadership, school enrollment grew significantly and delivered excellent academic results year on year with several students placed in Ivy league universities.
Prior to NLCS Jeju, Paul was the Headmaster at Dulwich College Shanghai where he served for six years. Under his tenure the school was ranked among the top three schools in the world by the Good Schools Guide.
Rebecca graduated with a BA (hon) in French and Spanish from the University of the West of England before going on to complete her PGCE with Liverpool Hope University and a Master’s in Education from Bath University. Rebecca has also completed the International Leadership and Management Programme and holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship.
Rebecca has over 12 years of experience leading high-performing teams in the UK and international settings, starting her career in Bristol before spending time in Spain and South Korea before moving to Singapore in 2016. Prior to starting at NLCS (Singapore), Rebecca spent six years as Deputy Head (Academic) at Tanglin Trust Junior School.
