Organisational Structure

At NLCS (Singapore), our organisational structure is thoughtfully designed to deliver a world-class education that reflects our ethos of academic ambition, exceptional pastoral care, and a broad range of enrichment opportunities. Led by the Principal and supported by a dedicated Senior Team, the school ensures that every aspect of its operation is aligned to nurture excellence, well-being, and personal growth for students and staff alike.

Ambitious Education and Curriculum

Academic excellence is at the core of NLCS (Singapore). In the Senior School, the Vice Principal (Academic) leads the academic programme, supported by a team of Academic Assistant Principals. Together, they deliver a cohesive, rigorous, and innovative curriculum that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning. They oversee assessments, monitor academic progress, and provide personalised guidance to help students excel.

In the Junior School, the Head of Junior School has overall responsibility for academics, working closely with the Assistant Principals in the First School and Lower School. Their focus is on establishing strong academic foundations, fostering curiosity, and promoting independence. By ensuring smooth transitions between key stages, they support students’ academic and personal development from the earliest years.

Exceptional Pastoral Care and Student Well-being Provision

Student well-being is at the heart of NLCS (Singapore). In the Senior School, the Vice Principal (Pastoral Care) leads a team of Assistant Principals to deliver a comprehensive pastoral programme, ensuring students receive the support needed to thrive socially and emotionally.

In the Junior School, the Head of Junior School oversees pastoral care, supported by Assistant Principals who ensure the individual needs of every child are met.

Across the whole school, the Vice Principal (Safeguarding and Inclusion) works to maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. By fostering a culture where every student feels valued and diversity is celebrated, these leaders create a nurturing community that builds resilience, empathy, and a strong sense of belonging.

Expansive Enrichment Programme

The enrichment programme at NLCS (Singapore), overseen by the Vice Principal (Staffing & Enrichment), offers students a wealth of opportunities to discover their talents and passions. Leaders such as the Director of Co-Curriculum, Director of Performing Arts, and Director of Sport ensure a vibrant programme that includes performing arts, sports, academic pursuits, and cultural activities.

Through these enriching experiences, students develop confidence, explore their potential, and enjoy learning beyond the classroom. These activities are integral to nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Staff Development and Excellence

At NLCS (Singapore), our commitment to excellence extends to our staff. The school prioritises professional development and well-being, recognising that a motivated and highly skilled team is essential to delivering an exceptional education.

Guided by the Vice Principal (Staffing and Enrichment) and supported by the Assistant Principal (Academic Enrichment & Professional Development), teachers benefit from continuous training, mentoring, and opportunities for collaboration. By fostering partnerships across departments and with international campuses—including the UK Mother Campus—staff are empowered to innovate and inspire in their teaching.

This culture of collaboration and professional growth ensures our staff are equipped to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment, enabling students to thrive both academically and personally.
