Helping every child feel known, safe, and emotionally supported is what makes academic success possible, and we are proud that this work is being recognised beyond our school gates. In this Insider Series webinar with Little Steps Asia, our Vice Principal (Pastoral), Mr Laurence Baxter, and Vice Principal (Safeguarding and Inclusion), Mrs Sophie Davies, share the thinking behind our pastoral programme and how it supports students from the earliest years all the way through to Sixth Form.
The conversation is full of warmth and practical insight: from the dedicated form tutor relationships that ensure every student has a trusted first point of contact, to how we teach children to spot their own signs of stress before they escalate. Mr Baxter and Mrs Davies also discuss our restorative practices, which guide students to reflect on impact and repair relationships with empathy, as well as how we celebrate the diversity of our community through lived experience, whether marking Ramadan, Deepavali, or welcoming new families through personalised onboarding and community events.
We are grateful to Little Steps Asia for shining a light on the work our pastoral team does every day to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and genuinely ready to learn. This feature is the third in a four-part series, and we look forward to sharing more of our school community in the weeks ahead.
