Last week, we had the privilege of sending ten of our senior school students to the inspiring FOBISIA Student Environmental Conference in Hong Kong.
The excitement began on Thursday, 7 March, as our students were warmly welcomed by the host, Kellett School, The British International School in Hong Kong, and treated to a viewing of DELIKADO, the Emmy-nominated enviro-thriller documentary by Karl Malakunas.
Throughout the conference, our students got to hear from various organisations and schools about crucial environmental issues like plastic pollution and shark finning. They also took a moment to reflect on the significance of the United Nations’s Sustainable Development Goals, pondering how each of us can contribute to positive change.
In addition to the enriching conference sessions, our students actively participated in a beach clean-up at Shek O Back Beach and embarked on an invigorating hike up the iconic Dragon’s Back Trail.
Together, they embraced the spirit of sustainability, reminding us all that we are truly better together in our collective efforts to safeguard our planet.
