Admissions Process

Application Timeline

Students are welcome to join NLCS (Singapore) at any point during the academic year, subject to availability. However, the following considerations apply:

• Grade 12: Parents should consult with the Admissions Department before applying.
• Grade 11: Entry is preferred at the start of the academic year and must be no later than the beginning of Term 2, pending Principal approval.

We are currently accepting applications for 2024/25 and 2025/26. As spaces are limited and assessments are ongoing, we encourage early applications.

Residency & Eligibility

• Applications must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian residing in Singapore. If appointing a third party to apply on your behalf, please contact our Admissions Department for guidance.
• Non-Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents must hold a valid foreign passport and Singapore residency pass (FIN number).
• Special requirements apply for students who are Singaporean citizens.

How to Apply

Submit an Application

Complete our online application form and upload the required documents.

Admissions Assessment

Once we receive your application, we will invite your child to an age-appropriate assessment at our campus on Depot Road.

• For international applicants, we can arrange alternative assessment options.

Offer & Acceptance

• Offers must be accepted within SEVEN working days.
• Parents must sign the student contract and complete payment within 10 working days of receiving the contract to confirm their child’s place.

Waiting List

If a Grade is at capacity, admissible students will be placed on a waiting list. The waiting list rolls over each year to maintain applicant prioritisation.

Priority is given to:

• Siblings of current students
• Students transferring from another NLCS school
• Children of NLCS alumni (Old North Londoners)

Waiting list positions are not disclosed to parents.

Reapplication Policy

If a student is not offered a place, they may reapply after 12 months or earlier with Principal approval. Assessment results are not released.

Required Documentation

• To complete your child’s application, please upload the following documents:
• Passports of both parents and the student
• NRIC/FIN numbers for parents and student
• Birth certificate
• Official school reports from the past two years (in English)
• Digital photograph (JPEG, under 1MB)
• Immunisation records (Diphtheria and Measles vaccinations are compulsory by law in Singapore)
• Academic reference (typically from the current Head of School)
• Signed Personal Data Collection Statement

For documents not in English, a certified translation is required.

Age Boundaries

Applications to NLCS (Singapore) can only be received for the age-appropriate Grade level, as per our published age boundaries. Placement outside of our age boundaries will only be offered in exceptional circumstances upon approval by the Principal.
