At NLCS (Singapore), our approach to university and career guidance is shaped by our ethos: to know every student deeply and to support them in forging their own path. Our dedicated and experienced University and Career Guidance (UCG) team works closely with students from Grades 9 to 12, providing tailored advice and structured support to help them make confident and informed decisions about their future.

Guidance is delivered through a combination of individual counselling, structured PSHE sessions, and parent engagement events. Students are supported in identifying their interests and strengths, exploring higher education pathways across different countries, and preparing competitive applications that reflect their academic profile and personal aspirations.

A wide range of experiences complement the guidance process, including visits from university admissions representatives, career talks by professionals, and sessions led by our parent community. In Grade 10, students receive advice on subject selection and pathways, while in Grade 12, the support is highly personalised, with counsellors guiding students through each stage of their application process.

Throughout the programme, the emphasis remains on academic ambition, self-reflection, and personal growth. Our students achieve outstanding university outcomes, not just because they are well-prepared, but because they have been guided to make choices that truly suit who they are.
