Why choose the IB Diploma Programme?
The IB Diploma Programme is highly valued by universities worldwide for the breadth of its curriculum and the critical thinking skills it develops. Students study six subjects across Languages, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts, allowing for specialisation whilst maintaining intellectual range.
Beyond their six subjects, every IB student completes an Extended Essay (independent research), Theory of Knowledge (critical reflection on how we know what we know), and Creativity, Activity, Service, developing the independent thinking and research skills universities expect.
Recent UK research shows that IB students are three times more likely to gain entrance to a top 20 university and 38% more likely to progress to postgraduate study. At NLCS (Singapore), our IB graduates have secured places at Oxford, Cambridge, Cornell, Stanford, and 130+ universities worldwide.
