At North London Collegiate School (Singapore), we believe education extends well beyond the classroom. Our extensive co-curricular and extracurricular offerings are designed to nurture students’ diverse interests while developing character, collaboration and creativity.
With over 120 CCAs spanning academic, artistic, and athletic disciplines, students can dive into activities as varied as Scuba Diving, Golf, Photography, Orchestra, Videography, and LAMDA. Popular clubs such as Chess, Drawing Studio, Climbing Wall and Dungeons & Dragons foster critical thinking and imagination, while Competitive Coding and Prodigy Maths challenge and stimulate logical minds.
We are proud to host innovative and meaningful new CCAs including:
- F1 in Schools – Teams engineer, test, and race miniature CO₂-powered cars, culminating in the prestigious F1 Singapore Nationals, hosted at NLCS (Singapore) in November 2024.
- Ascend Now Entrepreneurship – Students pitch ideas to investors in a Shark Tank-style challenge, building entrepreneurial confidence and real-world business acumen.
- Lean In Girls – A leadership initiative helping girls develop self-belief, resilience, and inclusivity through mentoring and guided reflection.
Students are also passionate about service and intellectual engagement. Vocabulous!, for instance, sees our Senior School students support children from lower-income backgrounds by teaching vocabulary online—developing empathy and communication skills. Meanwhile, those in our publishing societies such as Lituresque, Pulse Science Magazine, and the Editorial Arts Society hone their voice and creativity through collaborative writing and journalism.
NLCS (Singapore) students regularly compete in prestigious academic competitions including the Maths Olympiad, Nancy Rothwell Award, John Locke Essay Competition, Diamond Challenge, and the FOBISIA Code Breaking Challenge. As proud members of the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools and the Federation of British International Schools in Asia, we also celebrate sporting excellence on regional stages.
