Dear NLCS (Singapore) Community,
I am pleased to share the results of our class of 2024 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examinations for the May 2024 session. Our students’ hard work has led to results we are all incredibly proud of.
Our students achieved an average score of 36.52, well above the global average of 30.32 points. We had a 100% pass rate, with every student who entered for the IB Diploma earning it. The highest score achieved was 43 points out of a maximum of 45, and over 20% of our students scored more than 40 points, placing them among the top achievers worldwide. Additionally, around 30% of the Diplomas awarded to our students were Bilingual Diplomas, reflecting their high proficiency in multiple languages.
These results reflect our students’ resilience and determination. Many have received offers from prestigious universities, including St Catharine’s College in Cambridge, King’s College London, University College London, and Harvey Mudd College. Behind these scores are individual stories of hard work, resilience, and the exceptional support of our teachers. I am particularly proud of our students’ personal achievements and their growth in reaching their potential.
At NLCS (Singapore), we emphasise academic rigour and a deep sense of scholarship. Our broad and balanced curriculum helps students discover and nurture their passions. This year, our students are pursuing diverse subjects such as Economics, Architecture, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Psychology, Fashion Design, and Veterinary Medicine.
We extend our gratitude to the entire NLCS (Singapore) community—parents, teachers, and staff—whose support and guidance have been crucial to our students’ success. The combined efforts and encouragement have created an environment where our students can thrive.
To our graduates, congratulations on your accomplishments. Your perseverance and hard work have brought you to this moment, and we are proud of each of you. We are confident you will continue to excel and make a positive impact in your future endeavours. Please stay in touch, and best wishes for the future.
We invite the entire NLCS (Singapore) community to join us in celebrating this achievement. Let us come together to honour the hard work, dedication, and success of our graduates and look forward to their bright futures.
With congratulations,
Paul Friend
Principal
