- How are you involved in our school community, and what impact has it had?
We actively participate in various school community events, international festival celebrations and interest group activities. Through these experiences, we have gained knowledge, enriched our daily lives, built closer connections with the school and fully integrated into the warm school community.
- In what ways is NLCS different from your child’s previous school?
Compared with previous schools, NLCS places greater emphasis on independent thinking and practical skills. It offers a wider range of diverse subjects and adopts open and encouraging teaching methods. Rather than focusing solely on examination results, the school inspires students to challenge themselves and pursue all-round growth.
- What positive changes have you noticed in your child’s approach to learning? Could you share an example?
Our child has become more proactive and self-disciplined in their studies, shifting from passive learning to active exploration. Influenced by the strong academic environment, our child has grown more confident through continual self-challenge and has become more adept at applying knowledge flexibly. For example, our child now voluntarily creates personal study plans and actively consults teachers after lessons.
- How has your child developed socially and academically since joining NLCS (Singapore)?
Academically, our child’s learning efficiency and breadth of knowledge have improved steadily. They have gained greater confidence and a stronger ability to apply knowledge practically by overcoming academic challenges. Socially, our child has become more outgoing and inclusive in diverse social settings, building positive relationships with peers from different backgrounds while learning teamwork and mutual respect.
